Website privacy and cookies

Knowledge Quay Ltd, company number 16163351, operates this website. This page explains tuition enquiries, website measurement and the services used on this site.

Contact us at info@knowledgequay.com or 07309 048603 about your information.

Updated 2 October 2026. Use the Privacy choices button to review or change optional Google and Meta measurement at any time.

Tuition enquiries

The enquiry form asks for your name, telephone number, your child's year-group category and your message. We use this information to respond and discuss suitable tuition. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in your message.

The form is processed by Netlify Forms. Enquiries and booking conversations may also be held in WhatsApp or the other inboxes you use to contact us. Only the Knowledge Quay owner has access to tuition enquiry records within the business; the services used to deliver and store them also process the information.

Our Facebook and Instagram enquiry forms ask for the parent or guardian’s name, telephone number and tuition course choice. Meta processes the details on its platform and makes the submitted enquiry available to Knowledge Quay so we can respond about tuition and a free consultation. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. These forms are separate from our website pixel and website cookie choices. See Meta’s privacy policy for its platform processing.

If an enquiry does not become a student, we delete its enquiry record after three months. This period does not describe student records or newsletter subscriptions. Contact us to ask about those records or request deletion.

The newsletter form separately collects an email address, with optional parent name and tuition interest, for the requested updates. A tuition enquiry does not subscribe you to the newsletter. You can contact us to stop receiving updates.

Optional Google measurement

Google Analytics helps us understand website use. Google Ads measurement helps us understand advertising activity. These are separate choices and the relevant measurement tags stay off until you accept that purpose. You can still use the enquiry form if you reject both.

After Analytics consent, we record page views and fixed action labels: a contact-link click, an enquiry accepted by the form service, or a newsletter signup. A link click does not prove that a message was sent or a call connected. An accepted form is not proof of a genuine unique enquiry or a paid booking.

Our custom measurement events do not include names, telephone numbers, email addresses, year-group answers or message text. They use limited page labels, a simplified referral origin and approved campaign labels. Google's tags may also process browser, device, approximate location, network and cookie information. This is not a claim that all website processing is anonymous.

Personalised advertising and Google signals are disabled. When you accept Google Ads measurement, advertising click information can be used to attribute enquiries to ads. We exclude contact-detail matching through enhanced conversions. Consent is the basis for the optional Google purposes you select. Declined or delayed consent and these data limits can leave gaps in the figures; earlier actions are not queued for replay when you later accept.

Our Google Analytics user and event retention settings are two months, with reset on new activity switched off. This setting does not cover standard aggregated reports, Google Ads records, browser-cookie lifetimes or enquiry records. See Google's retention explanation and Analytics data information.

Optional Meta advertising measurement

The Meta pixel stays off until you select Meta advertising measurement. This is a separate choice from Google Analytics and Google Ads. Older Google-only choices do not grant Meta consent; the updated choices ask again. You can submit an enquiry with all optional measurement rejected.

With Meta consent, we send a page-view event on selected tuition pages and a Lead event only after the contact form service accepts your enquiry. The Lead event means an accepted form, not a paid student start. Newsletter signups, contact clicks and direct thank-you-page visits do not count as Meta leads.

We do not pass enquiry answers or contact details into Meta events. Automatic advanced matching, automatic events and automatic detailed page collection are disabled. Meta may still process page/referral URLs, browser, device, network, cookie and advertising-click information. The pixel is blocked on unrecognised URL parameters or referrals that might expose personal URL data; this can leave gaps in reporting.

Meta can use this activity to measure advertising and improve ad delivery. First-party cookies such as _fbp and _fbc may be set after consent. Cookie duration can vary with browser and provider settings. Withdrawal stops future pixel measurement, attempts to remove accessible first-party Meta cookies and reloads the page if the pixel has loaded. Information already received is not erased by withdrawal. See Meta's privacy policy and Meta's cookie policy.

Cookies and browser storage

The Google durations above are documented defaults, not a promise that every browser stores every cookie for that long. They are separate from our Analytics retention settings.

Change or withdraw consent

Open Privacy choices, select the purposes you want or choose Withdraw all optional consent. Reducing permission after measurement tags have loaded reloads the page, so save unfinished form information first.

Withdrawal stops our future custom measurement and updates Google consent. We attempt to clear accessible first-party Google or Meta cookies for the withdrawn purpose. It does not erase information already received, and requests already underway may finish. Your browser can remove other cookies and site storage.

If your browser prevents us from saving or clearing an earlier choice, we stop our optional measurement on the current page and show a warning instead of reloading. Follow that warning to clear this site's stored data before opening another page, so an earlier saved choice does not return.

Other website services

Simple Analytics provides separate website statistics, such as page visits and referral/device totals. It continues independently of the Google choices. Simple Analytics states that its service does not set cookies or collect/store IP addresses; see what Simple Analytics collects.

Netlify hosts the website, handles the forms and provides website performance services. These involve requests to its infrastructure independently of Google measurement. See Netlify's privacy information and form-submission information.

Google Maps is embedded on the contact page and loads independently of these Google measurement choices. It can send browser/network information to Google and use Google's own storage and settings. The Resource Bank also loads an external JavaScript library from jsDelivr. Following WhatsApp or other external links takes you to services with their own privacy arrangements.

Rejecting Google measurement does not block all of these separate services or every request to Google. Provider processing can involve countries outside the UK; their published policies explain their services and safeguards. See Google's privacy policy, jsDelivr's privacy policy and WhatsApp's privacy policy.
